About 61 percent of them mentioned that these sites are their major disruption of their lessons. It’s much spent their leisure time watching television in the daytime.

Mean while, most of students surveyed stated that none of them are allowed to leave the iPhone or the BlackBerry because the device is more important than television.

“Our survey shows that students nowadays want that laptop they got become more than just of work equipment,” said Richard Anson, Reevoo Chief Executive Officer, as quoted by PC Advisor, Monday, August 30, 2010.

“Laptop connecting them with social networking, allowing users to entertain new friends and help cut costs when shopping online,” said Anson.

The similar reason was found in respondents who were attending postgraduate education. More than 13 hours per week they spent to surf the Internet and 3.5 hours spent on online shopping. Through the laptop, they usually watch two movies per week.

“24-hour Internet access is important for students today. However, the consequences, they face social networking sites that could interfere with their study time,” said Anson.

Although disturbing, about 77 percent of respondents said that Internet connections are very important to them. Similarly, with gadgets like smartphones. Only about 34 percent of respondents stated that television broadcasts made them leave school assignments.
